The Valuable News weekly series is dedicated to provide summary about news, articles and other interesting stuff mostly but not always related to the UNIX or BSD systems. Whenever I stumble upon something worth mentioning on the Internet I just put it here.
Today the amount information that we get using various information streams is at massive overload. Thus one needs to focus only on what is important without the need to grep(1) the Internet everyday. Hence the idea of providing such information ‘bulk’ as I already do that grep(1).

“How to Upgrade OpenBSD and Build a Kernel” is totally outdated and wrong on the currently supported 6.6 stable and previous release 6.5. OpenBSD has stellar and up to date documentation. Anything other than release notes, man pages, and the official FAQ, for the most part, should be disregarded as wrong advice. Here is the real info https://www.openbsd.org/faq/upgrade66.html for people who are search engine challenged. I don’t see a point in digging out somebody’s blog post from a few years ago and listing it as current valuable news. Your “valuable news” contains anywhere from 30%-70% outdated write-ups. While I appreciate the true valuable news you dig out the signal to noise ratio leaves much to be desired.
