The Valuable News weekly series is dedicated to provide summary about news, articles and other interesting stuff mostly but not always related to the UNIX or BSD systems. Whenever I stumble upon something worth mentioning on the Internet I just put it here.
Today the amount information that we get using various information streams is at massive overload. Thus one needs to focus only on what is important without the need to grep(1) the Internet everyday. Hence the idea of providing such information ‘bulk’ as I already do that grep(1).

Witaj, zainstalowaΕem FreeBSD 12.1 na VirtualBox i nie mogΔ uzyskaΔ wiΔkszej rozdzielczoΕci niΕΌ 1024×768. DodaΕem odpowiednie wpisy vbox do pliku /etc/rc.conf i do plikΓ³w .xinitrc i /boot/loader.conf nic nie pomogΕo. Czy trzeba zrobiΔ Xorg -Configure i tam wpisaΔ w /etc/X11/xorg.conf?

Czesc,
napewno trzeba zainstalowac virtualbox-ose-additions:
Potem musisz zrobic plik /usr/local/etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/card.conf o takiej zawartosci:
… i dodaj ponizsze na poczatku ~/.xinitrc to ponizsze:
… i powinno dzialac.

To fi na koΕcu to powinno byΔ if?

Pokaz tez plik /var/log/Xorg.0.log to moze cos namierzymy.

Pozdrawiam.
